Born in Selma, Alabama, Harry W. Gamble, Jr., received his B.A. Degree from the University of Alabama in 1958, and his LLB Degree from the University of Alabama in 1960. He was a member of Farrah Order of Jurisprudence, Board of the Alabama Law Review, Moot Court Team, and President of Phi Delta Phi Legal Fraternity. He served in the United States Air Force and received an honorable discharge as a Captain in 1963, when he returned to join his father in the practice of law in Selma, Alabama. Mr. Gamble has been active in numerous professional organizations. He has been President of the Dallas County Bar Association, a member of the Alabama Board of Bar Commissioners, Chairman of the Disciplinary Commission of the Alabama State Bar, and President of the Alabama Law Foundation. He is a Fellow of the Alabama Bar Association and a Fellow of the American Bar Association. He has held a Martindale-Hubbell AV rating for many years. Mr. Gamble’s community involvement has been also extensive. Among other things, he has served as President of the Selma-Dallas County Chamber of Commerce, President of the Kiwanis Club of Selma, President of the Grist YMCA, Director of the Alabama Shakespeare Festival, and Director of WAPR public radio. He is a member of St. Pauls Episcopal Church, Selma. Mr. Gamble has broad experience in various areas of the law. He presently concentrates in the fields of business law, banking law, wills and estate planning, probate and estate administration, and real estate. Mr. Gamble is married to Molly Franklin Gamble and has three sons and two grandchildren.
